Presbytery Council

Members:

• One representative from each of the following: COM, CPM, Nominations, Personnel, JBM, Presbytery Women, and the Board of Trustees.
• An additional seven (7) members elected from the body of the presbytery.
• Moderator (immediate past Presbytery Moderator), Presbytery Moderator, Presbytery Vice-Moderator.
• Discernment advisor, Stated Clerk, General Presbyter are ex-officio members.

Responsibilities:

• Visioning future Presbytery mission directions
• Coordinate efforts to support congregations by all Committees and Commissions.
• Meet at least bi-monthly.
• Review communications from committees/commission(s) to ensure that the presbytery vision is shared.
• Review appointment of co-opted committee members.
• Create a Presbytery Council Coordinating Team to coordinate all reports going to presbytery meetings, to set the docket of presbytery meetings, and to provide for worship at presbytery meetings.
• Create Mission teams, Task Groups, and Networks as needed within the presbytery and/or authorizing such groups as may emerge within the presbytery to focus on special projects or causes.
