Committee on Preparation for Ministry

Members:

6 members:  Three (3) teaching elders and three (3) ruling elders. The committee may add co-opted members when the number of inquirers and candidates dictate.

Co-opted members would be for specific liaison responsibilities when the number of Inquirers and Candidates do not allow two committee members to be without liaison responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

In consultation with the Presbytery Council , this committee will seek to support the Presbytery's vision by:

• Fulfilling responsibilities as listed in the Book of Order G-2.06.
• Planning and conducting annual consultations for inquirers and candidates in a retreat setting.
• Recruiting people to consider the Pastoral Ministry as a career.
